About the Captain

Captain Brad Smith is a third generation native of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and has grown up on the ocean.

His love for the ocean began while sailing with his father along the East Coast of Florida and the Bahamas.

After starting a family and a career with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as a police officer, he used his free time to fish local waters.

Captain Brad has fished the local waters of Jacksonville, both offshore and inshore, for the past 20 years. He has fished everywhere from the Gulfstream to the backwater creeks of Jacksonville and it’s beaches.

Charter Fishing in Jacksonville Florida

Captain Brad specializes in offshore fishing for a variety of reef fish, which include grouper, snapper, black seabass, gray trigger, amberjack, sharks and also migrating species of cobia, kingfish, and tarpon.

He also offers inshore fishing charters for redfish, black drum, sheepshead and trout, when the ocean is not accessible.

We provide all the necessary bait and tackle, as well as a cooler with ice and water.
Will you be able to clean the catch?
Yes. We clean, package and ice the catch of the day.
What should I bring with me?
All you need to bring is food/snacks, drinks, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. We supply the great experience.
What if I am prone to sea sickness?
If you are prone to sea sickness, remember to take the appropriate sea sickness medicine the night before.
